Motion Graphics Showreel
My passion for motion graphics began in 2014 during an internship at ZaPOP, a South African in-store marketing company. Initially hired as a video editor, I expanded my skills to include motion graphics, which became a creative outlet for me. I thrive on the challenge of taking complex subjects and transforming them into engaging, animated content that captivates an audience. This experience at ZaPOP allowed me to take off into the world of keyframes and dynamic visuals, a journey I've been on ever since.

Project Focus 1:
Local Church, Lasting Transformation
Church and Community Transformation (CCT) was a video I storyboarded and animated with the Tearfund video team. This video highlights the study of CCT, which is a Tearfund initiative. Tearfund commissioned several large research studies to demonstrate the impact of CCT, both quantitatively and qualitatively. The research shows that when the church works with the community in this way, it has a transformative impact. It is an effective and sustainable solution to overcoming poverty.

Tearfund approached me with the script based on the programme's evidence, and the video was turned around in 2 weeks.

Deliverables on the project also included 3 language translations in audio and subtitles. I worked closely with the translation team to create an accurate version in French, Portuguese, and Spanish. The results of the overall project have been impressive. More information on this initiative can be found on Tearfund's website.

Project Focus 2:
Transforming Masculinities
Transforming Masculinities was a programme run by Tearfund. I was an animator on the project, highlighting the initiative's great work. I worked closely with Adam Harding Willis, the animation manager at the time.

Transforming Masculinities arose to help address attitudes and beliefs related to SGBV and gender equality. The challenge of the animation was to understand these attitudes, but also understand that these issues are complex and involve a number of sub-topics that can often come up in discussions.
More information about the overall programme can be read here
